Brad Drain | Brad started his Pirate career in 1987 and quickly demonstrated his enormous talent, winning many club and district awards. As he progressed in his career, Brad represented Illawarra, NSW and Australia as a Pirates player. In this time he became regarded as one of the best players to ever play in Illawarra and always represented the club in a professional manner. Brad was a member of the 1996 and 1997 premiership sides early in his career and he also was a member of our 2014 and 2015 sides, demonstrating both the length of his Pirates career and the quality of his play. Brad also held the role of President and other executive roles with the club. Of course, Brad's biggest achievement was signing with the Seattle Mariners and with that becoming the first Pirate to sign with a MLB team. |
